Safe use:
1. The gas cylinder must be fixed on the wall, pillar or vehicle, and must not be overturned on the ground.
Before use, it should be confirmed that the pressure reducer is intact and checked for any grease contamination. If there is oil contamination, it should be cleaned by professionals. Impurities, dirt, and dust on the pressure reducer (especially at the inlet) should be removed.
3. Check whether the gas cylinder valve is contaminated with grease, whether the threaded type is damaged, and whether there are any debris or dirt present. If the existence or thread damage is found, the cylinder should not be used again and the gas supply unit should be notified of these situations. Remove impurities, dirt, and dust from the cylinder valve (especially at the valve port).
4. Screw the inlet nut of the pressure reducer onto the gas cylinder valve, with more than 5 threads inserted, and then tighten all connecting parts to ensure airtightness.
Before opening the gas cylinder valve, the pressure regulator adjusting screw should be turned counterclockwise until the adjusting spring is no longer under force.
6. Do not stand on the front or back of the pressure regulator when opening the gas cylinder valve. The cylinder valve should slowly open until the high-pressure gauge indicates the cylinder pressure reading.
7. Rotate the regulator screw clockwise to achieve the required working pressure for the low-pressure gauge. If it is too high, loosen the adjusting screw and release some air before readjusting.
8. Check for air leakage. First, close the valve of the gas cylinder, and then rotate the adjusting screw counterclockwise by one turn. If the reading on the high-pressure gauge is small, it means that the high-pressure part of the pressure regulator or the cylinder valve is leaking. If the reading on the low-pressure gauge is small, it means that there is a leak in the low-pressure part of the pressure reducer or in the pipelines and equipment behind the pressure reducer. If the high pressure gauge reading is small and the low pressure gauge reading rises, it indicates that there is a leak at the valve seat of the pressure reducer. All of the above Rocky solutions have good leak detection effects and are safe for leak detection.
When not in use, always close the valve of the gas cylinder. When the work is completed, the gas cylinder valve should be closed first, and then the valve on the welding, cutting tool or equipment should be opened to discharge all the gas in the pressure reducer. Then close the valve that was just opened, and finally rotate the adjusting screw counterclockwise until the adjusting spring is no longer under force.
10. The pressure reducer can only use the specified gas.
11. When using a pressure reducer, the Safety Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinders and the Safety Supervision Regulations for Dissolved Acetylene Gas Cylinders issued by the State Administration of Labor should be strictly followed.
When damage or abnormal phenomena are found in the pressure reducer or matching pressure gauge, immediate repair should be carried out.
13. The repair of pressure reducers must be carried out by professionals.
